About Our Instructor
Terra Marsden holds a B.A. in Music Education from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, a Certification in Kodaly Methodology from Nebraska Wesleyan University and M.A. in Music from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She taught for six years as an elementary music teacher for the Omaha Public Schools in Omaha, Nebraska and seven years at Abbott Elementary in the Millard Public School System in Omaha, Nebraska. In addition, Mrs. Marsden also taught as adjunct faculty at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
She has been active in a variety of musical organizations, including Nebraska Music Educator’s Association (NMEA), American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA), Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE), and Plains State Kodaly Organization (PSKOR).
Mrs. Marsden has also been involved in a variety of musical ensembles and stages as a singer and performer, including: Opera Omaha, Omaha Symphony, Omaha Chamber Singers, Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, Dundee Dinner Theater (Omaha), Bellevue Little Theater (Omaha), Wilson Performing Arts Center, Christ Community Church Choir, and the Heartland of America Band. Last year, her and her husband Tim were asked to perform as backup singers for Grammy Award winning Christian artist Sandi Patti at the National Special Olympics.
Mrs. Marsden currently resides in Red Oak with her wonderful husband Tim and beautiful daughter Lily.
