The year is 1912 and con man Harold Hill is posing as a boy's band leader selling instruments and uniforms to naive town folk before skipping town with the cash.  Though in River City, Iowa prim and proper Marian the Librarian sees through Harold's mischievous plan.  Harold bides his time while helping Marian's young brother and Marian and Harold begin to fall in love.  Harold risks everything for the love of Marian, and he truly becomes the Music Man!  Book, music, and lyrics are from Iowa's own, Meredith Wilson.
